Announces the opening of his new firm specializing in his personal approach to the complex challenges of today’s business opportunities and strategies.
Experience:
Former President and CEO of The Robert Mayer Corporation and continuing Partner in the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort and Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa. Responsible for development, management and financing for the 50 acre master planned resort in Huntington Beach. He was also responsible for development of a multi-state resort company and its initial public offering. A Columbia Law School graduate, Steve has negotiated iron and oil contracts from Asia, Africa and Europe. He has worked with public officials to solve environmental challenges and water quality issues. As a former chairman of the Orange County Business Council and the recipient of numerous awards, he is recognized as a “visionary”.
Steve has been associated with the following organizations:
· Chairman of the Orange County Business Council
· Founding Co-Chairman of Orange County Tourism Council,
· Founding Chairman of the Orange County Film Commission,
· Founding Chairman of the Huntington Beach Conference and Visitors’ Bureau,
· Chairman of the Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce,
· Director of the Bolsa Chica Conservancy,
· Member of the Board of Advisors for the Collins School of Hospitality Management.
· Board of Trustees for The College of Wooster, Wooster, Ohio
Steve has always been a strong supporter of preservation of the environment, whether it be through legislative means, financial support or wetland restoration in the coastal zone. For example, as a result of the American Trader Oil spill, which reached the shores of Huntington Beach and Newport Beach, he coordinated a settlement resulting in the termination of all future offloading of oil endangering Orange County Beaches.
Steve and his wife Pat have been married for 39 years and have 3 children and 3 grandchildren.
